Job Title: Sr. Tax Accountant/Tax Manager
Department: Tax/Accounting/Finance
Supervisor: CEO
Status: At will, Full Time Exempt Professional

PAY GRADE: 3 PAY RANGE: 120,000 - 140,000
Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m., with after-hours as needed
Compensation: Commensurate with experience and discretionary bonus based on performance and profitability.

Granville Homes, Inc. is an industry leader in land acquisition, land entitlement, land development and construction. The Sr. Tax Accountant will be responsible for managing and overseeing all tax-related activities for the company. This includes preparing and filing tax returns, ensuring compliance with tax laws and regulations, and providing tax and succession planning advice to management. The Sr. Tax Accountant will also be responsible for managing relationships with external tax advisors and auditors.

Responsibilities:

Prepare and file tax returns for the company

Ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations

Provide tax advice to management

Manage relationships with external tax advisors and auditors

Research and analyze tax issues

Assist with tax planning and strategy

Review and reconcile tax accounts

Assist with tax audits and inquiries

Stay up-to-date with changes in tax laws and regulations

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field

CPA certification preferred

Minimum of 5 years of experience in tax accounting

Strong knowledge of tax laws and regulations

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Proficient in Microsoft Office and tax software

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full time at will position, and work hours are typically Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as department needs demand.

Travel is minimal and is primarily local during the business day, although some out-of-the-area and overnight travel may be expected.
