Job Description
We are excited to partner with an international consultancy based in Central London, currently seeking a Part Qualified Project Accountant for an immediate start on a minimum one-year fixed-term contract. This role involves comprehensive financial management and reporting responsibilities for a diverse portfolio of global projects, as well as contributing to overall financial administration.
Key Responsibilities:
* Maintain accurate records of project expenditures and revenues.
* Oversee project accounts and handle Accounts Receivable invoicing according to contract specifications.
* Support project forecasting activities.
* Deliver precise and timely financial reports for project performance.
* Provide accounting and financial guidance to Project Managers.
* Develop and uphold tools and procedures for budget preparation, project forecasting, and financial proposal creation.
* Assist with month-end processes and reporting.
* Review and process invoices and credit notes, ensuring correct coding.
* Prepare and load payment runs in line with payment terms.
* Review and approve expense claims and facilitate subsequent reimbursements.
* Perform balance sheet and account reconciliations, including those for credit/debit card transactions.
* Manage accrual journals and prepayments.
Required Experience & Skills:
* Part-Qualified (ACCA/CIMA) with a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience.
* Proficient in MS Office, with strong computer skills.
* Experience with Deltek Costpoint, Deltek Maconomy, or SAP is advantageous.
* Previous experience in a consultancy or project management environment is essential.
* Keen attention to detail.
* Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
