Manufacturing Assembly Planner

ARM are supporting an automotive company based in Chichester to hire an Assembly Planner with experience in Manufacturing.

This is a 12-month rolling contract, inside IR35.

Fully on-site, 5 days a week.

Up to £30 p/hour Umbrella.

Responsibilities:

• Working with the Build team to support process improvement and equipment management.
• Manage budget and timescales for assembly procurement; tooling, jigs & fixtures.
• Review and manage any changes to the assembly process and ensure this is accurately communicated to the assembly line.
• Monitor and maintain the history of the build.
• Support the quality team with any upcoming audits.
• Ensuring continuous improvement is at the forefront of every day.
• Monitor the Health & Safety of the assembly team - ensuring risk assessments are up to date.
• Support the training of junior members of staff, contractors and students.
• Managing vendors and suppliers and supporting their assembly/ equipment needs.

The Person:

• You must be an excellent communicator, and comfortable talking with stakeholders of all levels.
• Ideally have experience within manufacturing engineering.
• An Automotive or Manufacturing degree or equivalent.
