Job Description

LEASE is an Executive Non-Departmental Public Body of Government (NDPB). Our sponsor department is the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government (MHCLG). We are led by an independent Chair and Board.

LEASE is a small, expert organisation providing free advice on residential leasehold and park homes law. We are developing a radical programme of change to improve our reach and impact and to take on a new role of consumer champion for leaseholders and park homeowners.

1. Develop a programme of policy and consumer work in line with the priorities of the new Government and LEASE Board

2. Lead on LEASEs policy development work - working with legal advisers across the organisation, our sponsor department and other sector organisations

3. Design and implement a plan for LEASEs consumer facing programme of work including how we best play our convening role in the sector, use data effectively and decide what areas to focus on.

4. Be the main interface with government on managing LEASEs policy and implementation work: working in collaboration with the Chief Execs planning and managing the time and availability of legal advisers to feed into this work.

5. Play a key role in the leadership team at LEASE - supporting the Chief Executive with the improvement, development and implementation of changes resulting from the organisations extended remit.

D. Delivering at Pace - Demonstrate excellent organisational skills, resilience, and be able to manage significant competing priorities appropriately.

E. Managing a Quality Service

Develop, implement, maintain and review systems and services to ensure delivery of professional excellence. Work with stakeholders to set priorities, objectives and timescales.

Successfully deliver high quality outcomes that meet the customers needs. Identify risks and resolve issues efficiently.
