Lead Software Engineer

We are working with a client looking for a lead Software Engineer to join a growing team focusing on risk management in the center of London!

If your application is successful you will:

● take responsibility for the quality of code written by your team

● influence and coach a team of engineers

● help align your team and others on on goals, outcomes, and timelines

● design, develop, test, deploy, maintain and enhance our APIs and web applications

● collaborate with product management to define and implement the technical roadmap

Must have:

● coach your team to reach your level of expertise

● take responsibility for working out the best thing to do for our customers and our

long-term future and then deliver it

● write PHP Laravel, JavaScript,, CSS/SCSS and SQL

● explain REST, HTTP methods, error codes and the general architecture of the internet

● understand web security

Nice to have:

● have prior experience with Vue.js/Nuxt.js or Typescript

● understand containerisation

● have written API specifications

● have worked with microservices

● have prior experience with Flutter or Dart

● have used Zend/Laminas

● want to line manage people
