Job Description

Our client is a London main contractor with an established business and team. They have a current need for a Business Development Manager, to join them.


Their target projects range from £1M-30M across residential, commercial and education (new build and interiors). In this Lead role you will be reporting to and working closely with the Operations Director and be responsible for developing new leads and additional business.

You will have experience in a similar role within the construction industry and looking to join an agile SME business.


You will:

  • Present to potential clients and consultants through direct communication, in face to face meetings, telephone calls and e-mails.
  • Attend meetings and events with clients and potential clients including industry events and trade shows.
  • Generation of leads and appointments for preliminary interviews and briefings.
  • Report on Business Development activities to the management.
  • Manage a pipeline of opportunities ensuring that all deadlines are met and that information presented meets the company standards.
  • Assist in the creation of client proposals and any subsequent documentation as part of the submission team.
  • Work closely with the estimating and technical team.


You will have:

  • Recognised industry qualification and / or a proven relevant track record.
  • Significant experience in business development activities in the construction/property industry.
  • Exceptional relationship management and networking abilities coupled with a genuine passion for the sector – Construction & Property.
