Property Lawyer

Our client, a Local Authority based in the South West, is currently recruiting for a locum Property Lawyer, initially until the end of March 2025.

The position is due to start immediately and the hourly rate is circa £55 - £60 per hour Umbrella, but is negotiable based on PQE.

Duties Will Include (but Are Not Limited To)

• Providing high level legal and property-related advice to Members and senior officers
• Acting for the Council in the progression of complex property matters relating to the Council’s land holdings
• Handling matters such as disposals and acquisitions, the Landlord and Tenant Act 1954, the devolution of Council property assets, disposals at an undervalue, overage provisions and options

Experience Required

• Commercial Property Law
• Relevant Professional Qualification – Solicitor, Barrister, FCILEX

Working Hours

• 30 hours per week
• Monday – Friday
