Real Estate Paralegal

We are working with a Global Law firm who are looking for an experienced Real Estate Paralegal to join the Legal Services Unit in either their Glasgow or Edinburgh office. The Legal Services Unit is the central paralegal team at this firm, assisting the associates and partners across the different departments in the UK offices on a wide variety of tasks and projects. This Paralegal role will focus on supporting our thriving Real Estate team.

Paralegal MUST have experience in a SCOTTISH law firm.

Paralegal responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Managing a busy caseload of transactions, including liaising with the client to obtain instructions
• Drafting and negotiating documents such as offers, leases, variations, dispositions, licences to occupy and other ancillary lease documentation;
• Dealing with sales and purchases, including plot sales and deeds of servitude;
• Reviewing and reporting on titles and dealing with ad hoc title queries from solicitors and clients;
• Managing completion and post-completion registrations, forms, filing and client signing / reporting requirements;
• Assisting with file opening procedures, including preparing first drafts of retainer letters and ensuring compliance with money laundering regulations;
• Dealing with billing for your transactions
