Intermediate Emergency Medical Technician

Job Description Summary:

The Intermediate Emergency Medical Technician responds to emergency and non-emergency calls, delivering high-quality patient care within the prescribed scope of practice and established protocols. They maintain awareness of changes in the system components and company policy to ensure compliance.

Principal Responsibilities:

• Maintains familiarity with treatment protocols and response requirements
• Operates company vehicle in accordance with policy
• Completes all appropriate documentation as outlined in company policy
• Maintains physical fitness consistent with job requirements
• Attends all mandatory in-services

Minimum Qualifications:

• Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) IV State endorsement
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS/CPR) certification for all EMT levels
• FEMA ICS 100,200,700 and 800
• Valid driver's license
