Our portfolio includes brands we own and others for which we hold exclusive UK distribution rights. Each brand and product is selected based on innovation, functionality, performance, and design. All are rigorously tested and evaluated by the trade to ensure we only supply the best range possible.
The Role:
We are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager who can hunt for and build relationships to seed and grow the independent builders' merchant sector for the business.
About the Person:
You will be a driven sales professional with experience working in builders' merchants, light side tool distribution, or other similar merchant-focused markets in the UK. This is a territory-building role with the opportunity to work with our Head of Sales to design and implement the sales plan for this business sector. The role may also involve national account management as part of ongoing growth.
Key Activities:
- Identifying and building relationships with buyers/decision-makers in named accounts in your territory
- Engaging with relevant buying groups to drive brand involvement
- Managing several National Accounts
- Working with the Sales Team to support the ongoing growth of the business
- Identifying and selling to named accounts.
- Developing ongoing sales opportunities within merchants to build market share
- Being part of a positive and cohesive sales team and collaborating with the wider team
- Ensuring quality support and communications with all clients and suppliers
- Attending relevant exhibitions and representing the brand at industry events

You describe yourself as a relationship builder who thrives on building and leveraging your experience within the tools or similar markets. Competitive by nature, you are also a team player who can persevere for the long term.

You are happiest when part of a team, but self-reliant and driven enough to work remotely building your pipeline and working with customers to bring products to new markets.
The Package:
- Salary - £45,000 + Competitive uncapped Commission
- Hybrid Company Car & Expenses
