Job Description

The Finance Director will be responsible for overseeing all financial aspects of the company and driving the financial planning of the business. You will be instrumental in the strategic decision-making process and accountable for the administrative, financial, and risk management operations of the company. Key Responsibilities: Strategic Financial Leadership: Develop and execute the companys financial strategy in line with its goals and objectives. Budgeting and Forecasting: Lead the annual budgeting process, including rolling forecasts and long-term financial planning. Financial Reporting: Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting to the board and senior management, including monthly management accounts, annual financial statements, and variance analysis. Cash Flow Management: Oversee cash flow planning, liquidity management, and funding strategies to ensure business sustainability. Risk Management: Implement and maintain a robust risk management framework, including internal controls, compliance with regulations, and safeguarding company assets. Leadership: Provide leadership and guidance to the finance team, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Cost Control: Drive cost optimization initiatives across the organization, ensuring efficient resource allocation and minimizing financial risks. Tax Compliance: Oversee tax planning and ensure full compliance with all tax regulations. Audit: Liaise with external auditors, ensure compliance with statutory audit requirements, and maintain relationships with financial institutions. Corporate Governance: Act as a key member of the executive leadership team, contributing to corporate governance and strategic decision-making. Requirements: CA(SA) qualification is essential. 10 to 15 years of experience in finance, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role. Proven track record of success in a services-based organization. Strong knowledge of financial management principles, budgeting, forecasting, and strategic financial planning. Experience with financial analysis, reporting, risk management, and corporate governance. Leadership skills with the ability to mentor and develop a high-performing finance team. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
