R&D Development Chemist

Eleven have been retained by a Chemicals client based in Macclesfield to find them an R+D Development Chemist.

Key Responsibilities:

Safety First: Uphold a strong safety culture, ensuring all experiments are conducted safely and effectively.
Scientific Expertise: Plan and execute high-quality research, contributing to technical advancements within the team.
Team Collaboration: Play an active role in team meetings, offer insights, and collaborate on workplans to align with business priorities.
Technical: Become a subject matter expert, supporting the technical programme and working closely with the engineering team on process development and scale-up.
Data Mastery: Manage experimental data with precision, analyse outcomes, and communicate findings to stakeholders.
Continuous Improvement: Contribute to the smooth running of the lab, assist with day-to-day operations, and propose innovative ideas to enhance safety and efficiency.Required Skills / Qualifications:

MSc in Chemistry or a related field
Minimum 3 years of R+D experience in an industrial setting
Expertise in High Reactive / High Pressure chemistries essential
Familiarity with analytical methods like NMR, IR, UV-Vis spectroscopy, and GPC
Strong problem-solving abilities, with a creative and independent approach
Excellent data management and proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word)
