Job Description
Job title: Shift Engineer
Location: 30 Gresham Street London EC2V 7PG
Length: 3 months initial contract subject to extend
Work hours: rotational shift pattern, 4 on 3 off, as its 3 or 4 shifts per week, 12 hours shift
Pay Rate: £23/hour PAYE
Randstad Sourceright, a leading provider of RPO & MSP Recruitment Services are currently recruiting a Shift Engineer for a FM Services and Engineering company.
In this role you will undertake a proactive role in carrying out maintenance, repairs and inspection of mechanical building services. Some of other duties include;

To ensure site Electrical & Mechanical systems are operated and maintained to the required codes of practice
*
and industry guidelines.
*
Ensure the PPM’s for the as built equipment is fully maintained and carried out in a high calibre and on time.
*
To carry out today maintenance and reactive issues relating to all the electrical equipment and assets.
*
Complete information and feedback to computer-based systems particularly the PPM system.
*
Carry out fault identification/rectification and escalation when required on heating, ventilation and air-conditioning issues.
*
Installation and modification of site electrical/mechanical services.
*
Support SORC (Shift Operational Risk Controller) with LV/HV Switching requirements
*
Maintain effective communication to the site operations risk controller, (SORC) including plant status, plant isolations, issues arising, ongoing works and standards of housekeeping.
*
Ensure any parts required are clearly and accurately stated and any difficulties encountered on engineering activities are reported to the SORC.
*
Plant areas, workshops, stores, changing/rest areas etc. are kept to the highest level of housekeeping, and etc
Key Skills/Experience:
*
C&G Level 3 qualified or equivalent in an electrical services/maintenance as primary bias
*
C&G qualified Level 3 or equivalent in a Mechanical services/maintenance (desirable)
*
HV Authorised Person Certificate and experience (desirable)
*
18th Edition IEE: Wiring & Installation competent
*
Recognised training or apprenticeship
*
Strong communication skills and the ability to deal with all levels of staff
