Position Description My client is seeking a passionate and experienced Skills Development Solutions Specialist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of BBBEE, particularly in Skills Development, and demonstrate strong sales and client engagement skills. The primary responsibility of the Skills Development Solutions Specialist will be to engage with new clients, assisting them in formulating and implementing effective Skills Development strategies to maximize impact, BBBEE scorecard points, and cost-effectiveness through tax incentives. Additionally, the successful candidate will play a key role in leveraging the YES initiative to enhance clients' scorecards and positively impact the lives of South Africa's youth. The potential candidate must have a firm grasp of the Skills Development scorecard and landscape and also have a disposition for sales. The candidate will have engagements with clients and based on any gaps or pain points identified, construct a Skills Solution proposal to meet those needs. Once proposals are accepted, the project is handed over to another team for implementation and project management. We generally construct solutions in conjunction with existing training providers that we have formed strategic relationships with. Role and Responsibilities • Sales Target Achievement: Consistently meet and exceed sales targets on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis. • Client Sector Analysis: Identify opportunities within specific client sectors or scorecards to tailor solutions effectively. • Proposal Development: Compile comprehensive skills strategy proposals for clients, addressing their current needs and objectives. • Deal Closure: Proactively engage with clients to close deals and secure new business opportunities. • Legislative Compliance: Stay abreast of B-BBEE legislative changes, including updates to charters, acts, and codes, ensuring compliance in all dealings. • Product Enhancement: Gather and analyze customer feedback to suggest product enhancements and identify new solutions in the market. • Skills Solution Design: Develop innovative skills solutions focused on scorecard optimization, operational requirements, and tax benefits. • Account Expansion: Establish and nurture relationships with new accounts to expand sales and grow the pipeline, identifying new markets based on product offerings. Salesforce Management: Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and pipeline activity using Salesforce or equivalent CRM software. • Marketing Support: Collaborate with the marketing team to support promotional activities and initiatives aimed at driving sales. Enquiry Handling: Respond promptly to all sales inquiries and follow up effectively to convert leads into opportunities. • Reporting: Provide regular feedback to the Line Manager, reporting on all account activity, sales performance, and pipeline status. BY DILIGENTLY FULFILLING THESE ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES, YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE SIGNIFICANTLY TO THE SUCCESS AND GROWTH OF OUR ORGANIZATION WHILE MAINTAINING HIGH STANDARDS OF CUSTOMER SERVICE AND COMPLIANCE. Qualifications and Education Requirements • Min Undergrad qualification preferably Bcom • Min 3 years’ experience in direct sales or key account management • Min 2-3 years working experience in corporate type business • General understanding of B-BBEE codes and charters and in particular, Skills Development • Advantageous – firm understanding of the tax incentives related to Skills Development Required Skills • Communication: Exceptional proficiency in business English, both written and verbal, with the ability to articulate ideas clearly and effectively. • Software Proficiency: Proficient in Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Familiarity with sales CRMs, e.g. Salesforce is advantageous. • Sales Acumen: Demonstrated success in meeting sales targets and cultivating new business opportunities. • Customer Focus: Strong client-centric approach with a dedication to meeting customer needs and exceeding expectations. • Passion for Youth Development: Genuine enthusiasm for youth development initiatives and addressing the challenges of youth unemployment. • Closing Skills: Exceptional ability to close deals and secure commitments from clients. • Prospecting: Proficient in identifying and pursuing potential leads and opportunities for business growth. • Presentation Skills: Strong presentation skills with the ability to convey information persuasively and engagingly. • Sales Target Driven: Highly motivated and driven to achieve and exceed sales targets consistently. • Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and precision in all tasks and interactions. • B-BBEE Knowledge: Solid understanding of B-BBEE regulations, particularly the Skills Development element, and its technical details. • Learning Agility: Quick to grasp new concepts and information, with a commitment to ongoing learning and development. • Creative Problem-Solving: Ability to think creatively and innovatively to address customer needs from both a solution and commercial perspective. • Initiative: High level of initiative, able to take proactive steps to drive results and contribute to team success. • Team Collaboration: Works effectively in a team environment, fostering collaboration and supporting colleagues to achieve collective goals. • Resilience: Capable of handling stressful situations and deadline pressures with composure and resilience. • Autonomy: Demonstrated ability to plan and execute responsibilities independently with minimal supervision. These required skills are essential for success in the role, enabling the individual to excel in meeting objectives, driving business growth, and delivering exceptional customer experiences. Normal working hours are 08:00 – 17:00 although it would occasionally be required to work overtime when deals must be closed or customer support must be provided. Employees are required to provide proof that they are part of a medical aid. Salary : R50,000 basic Attractive Commission structure (can be up to R50k per month) Cellphone & Data Allowance
