Data Engineer (Azure & Fabric) - Johannesburg – R550k to R850k per annum

Responsibilities: Data Analysis: Analyze and interpret complex datasets using statistical methods to uncover valuable insights and trends. Data Mining: Utilize machine learning techniques to discover patterns in large datasets, enhancing our data-driven strategies. Data Visualization: Create impactful visualizations and dashboards that effectively communicate data insights to stakeholders. Data Cleaning: Ensure the accuracy and completeness of data by cleaning and preprocessing datasets. Data Modelling: Build and test predictive models to forecast future trends and outcomes, supporting strategic decision-making. Reporting: Develop comprehensive reports and presentations that summarize findings and actionable recommendations. Collaboration: Work closely with data science team members and other departments to identify business problems and collaboratively develop innovative solutions. Programming: Write scripts and code in SQL to automate data analysis processes and streamline workflows. Qualifications and experience: National Diploma in Information Technology or Bachelor of Degree Proven experience as a Data Engineer, with a focus on Azure and Fabric. ( 3 Years) Relevant certifications in Azure and data engineering. Strong proficiency in data analysis, data mining, and statistical methods. Experience with data visualization tools and techniques. Solid understanding of data cleaning and pre-processing methodologies. Familiarity with predictive modelling and forecasting techniques. Proficiency in SQL and experience with automating data workflows.
