Cover Supervisor
Location: Colchester, Chelmsford
Salary: £110 - £150 per day
Start Date: ASAP
GSL Education’s Chelmsford branch is currently recruiting a dedicated Cover Supervisor to join a client school in Colchester. This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about education and are looking to gain valuable classroom experience. As a Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for supervising classes in the absence of the regular teacher, ensuring that students remain engaged and on task.
Key Responsibilities for Cover Supervisor:
Supervise classes and ensure students remain focused on their set work.
Manage classroom behaviour and promote a positive learning environment.
Deliver pre-planned lessons and provide support where necessary to assist students in their learning.
Maintain the progress of students and ensure the completion of tasks set by the class teacher.
Communicate with teaching staff regarding any issues or updates related to the classroom.
Support the school in various departments, including assisting with administrative tasks if required.
Qualifications and Experience for Cover Supervisor:
Experience working in a school environment or with young people is desirable.
Strong communication and organisational skills.
Ability to manage behaviour in the classroom and maintain a productive learning environment.
A passion for education and helping students achieve their full potential.
A valid DBS on the Update Service or a willingness to apply for one.
A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
