Procurement Officer

Salary: Up to £44,000 + 10% Bonus

Locations: Flexible - South of England Offices (Hybrid)

We have an exciting opportunity for a Procurement Officer to join a leading defence sector client. In this role, you will manage high-value service contracts worth millions of pounds, playing a key part in the strategic procurement and contract management function.

The Role:

As a Procurement Officer, you will be responsible for overseeing the end-to-end procurement process for key service contracts. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure procurement strategies align with the client’s business objectives and deliver value. Key responsibilities include:

• Managing strategic procurement activities for multi-million-pound service contracts
• Handling contract negotiations, renewals, and vendor relationships
• Ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory frameworks
• Monitoring contract performance and mitigating risks
• Supporting continuous improvement in procurement processes

Requirements:

• Law degree or equivalent legal background (essential)
• Minimum 2+ years’ experience in procurement or contract management
• Strong knowledge of procurement regulations and best practices
• Excellent negotiation and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to obtain security clearance (UK resident for the last 5 years)
• Defence sector experience is not required, but an advantage
