Job Description

Reach Printing Services are looking for Printer NO 2 to join the team in Glasgow

Responsible for setting up, running, and monitoring of all equipment within Presshall.
Responsibility to carry out remedial and calibration work where necessary. The role requires web offset printing experience in a fast paced environment.

Working alone or within a team. Strong reliance on own initiatives to prioritise work to be carried out. These decisions will be in conjunction with the Pressroom Shift Managers input.

Please note this role is Night shift 4 on 4 off Rota

Job Description

  • S.S.O.W Awareness.
  • Reelstand Operations.
  • Reelstand Control Panel Adjustments.
  • Understanding Impositions.
  • Plating and De-plating Press.
  • Press set up and presets.
  • Folder settings and adjustments.
  • Restart press and achieve good copy from hot.
  • Set and maintain web tensions.
  • Maintain ink / water balance.
  • Monitor quality and adjust register controls.
  • Carry out all aspects of R&C.

Qualifications

  • A complete understanding of Press operational systems – (essential)
  • Analytical approach to problem solving
  • Work on own initiative or part of a team
  • Basic Understanding diagrams/technical drawings
  • Flexibility to carry out both technical and full press production roles
