Job Description

Main purpose of the role

Due to an investment in our Group Land function, we have a rare and exciting opportunity for a Group Long Term Partnership Land Director to join us to develop the Long-Term Partnership Land function to secure sufficient, aligned strategic land to sustain our growth plans over the long term.

Reporting to the Group Development Director; the successful candidate will be responsible for setting the direction and strategy for strategic land acquisition, working with the regional land teams at the right time to ensure they buy into the opportunities being sourced and contribute to their appraisal. This role will ideally be based from our head office near Doncaster, however there is a certain amount of flexibility with agile working, and the possibility for the candidate to be based from one of our other regional offices.

They will work to maintain a corporate framework to ensure a consistent approach to sourcing and securing strategic land, delivering strategic land opportunities in line with budget by identifying opportunities through their established network, focusing on those which are aligned with our strategy and with a strong chance of attaining planning consent, securing them under the required option terms and promoting them (using a planning consultant) in a way that presents the best possible chance of success.

Skills, Knowledge, Experience

We are looking for an established senior Land and Partnerships leader who embodies our Keepmoat values; a creative and resilient individual who will combine their knowledge and understanding in the land, development and planning processes with an enthusiastic, self-motivated, solutions focused approach. They will be collaborative; skilled in relationship building and stakeholder engagement with experience in developing strategies and in influencing senior decision makers and with strong negotiating and influencing skills. They will take a straightforward approach with a thorough understanding of strategic land in England/Scotland and be financially and commercially astute. They will be passionate about Land and Partnerships, with proven experience in Planning, Land Acquisition and Leadership and a clear understanding of the Partnership model.
