Deputy Head of Digital

Service Care Solutions are looking for an individual to join a college in Manchester to lead the curriculum development of their ICT and Computing (Digital) department alongside their current Head of Department.

This role includes, but is not limited to the following responsibilities:

• Monitor student performance and collaborate with the Curriculum Manager to improve retention, attendance, and achievement.
• Develop, implement, and monitor strategies to enhance value-added outcomes.
• Plan and oversee the creation of clear schemes of work and high-quality assignments for all curriculum programs.
• Manage and coach staff where appropriate and lead curriculum meetings, training, and professional development.
• Maintain close working relationships with the progress team, Learning Leaders, Digital Leaders and external agencies.

Requirements:

• Appropriate Degree or Equivalent.
• Teaching Qualification (PTLLS / PGCE).
• Experience delivering a BTEC program and knowledge of GCSE assessment process.
• Successful DBS Check.
