Job Description
Key Responsibilities: Inventory Management: Oversee the daily operations of the stores & stores personnel, including receiving, storing, and distributing materials, tools, equipment, and products. Maintain accurate inventory levels to meet production demands without overstocking or causing delays. Manage the inventory control system that tracks all inventory movements and maintains accurate stock records. Supply Chain Coordination: Collaborate with procurement, production, and engineering teams to ensure the timely availability of materials required for manufacturing. Work with suppliers and sub-suppliers to negotiate favorable terms, improve lead times, and ensure quality standards are met. Manage the return and replacement of defective materials with suppliers. Managing of on-time dispatching of customer orders and arranging of the required packaging as per client specifications. Process Optimization: Develop and implement efficient storage systems and material handling procedures to optimize space and accessibility. Continuously review and improve inventory management processes to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and minimize costs. Streamline operations. Team Leadership & Development: Lead and manage the stores team, work closely with the Production Manager, Engineers, Machine shop supervisor and management to ensure that project deadlines are met. Qualifications: Education & Experience: Diploma in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred). 5 years of experience in inventory management or stores management within a heavy manufacturing environment. Extensive experience in the winching industry, with knowledge of winch components, materials, and manufacturing processes.
