Head Guide / Safari Manager

Key Responsibilities: Lead and manage a team of field guides, providing training, mentorship, and support. Plan and conduct guided game drives, walks, and specialized safari activities. Ensure the highest standards of guest service and satisfaction throughout the safari experience. Develop and implement educational programs related to wildlife and conservation for guests and staff. Maintain and manage equipment and vehicles, ensuring operational readiness and safety. Collaborate with lodge management on conservation initiatives and overall guest experience enhancement. Uphold the lodges reputation by fostering a culture of respect, professionalism, and environmental stewardship. Requirements: FGASA Level 2 (NQF4) or higher certification. Valid First Aid certification. Professional Driving Permit (PDP). Proven experience in a guiding role, preferably in a luxury lodge environment. Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills. Passion for wildlife conservation and commitment to excellence in guest service.
