Job Description

As a Help Desk/Lab Services Technician, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and optimizing our clients' systems. You'll be responsible for imaging systems using the latest methods, managing inventory and assets, and ensuring equipment is thoroughly tested, cleaned, and deployed. Your attention to detail and commitment to excellence will directly impact our clients' satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

System Imaging:

  • Utilize the latest imaging methods, including Microsoft Intune, to set up and configure laptops, desktops, and phones.
  • Ensure consistent and efficient system deployment across various hardware models.

Inventory and Asset Management:

  • Maintain accurate records of all hardware and software assets.
  • Track inventory levels, order new equipment as needed, and manage stock levels efficiently.
  • Assist with mobility lab services when needed.

Testing and Quality Assurance:

  • Conduct thorough testing of systems before deployment.
  • Verify hardware functionality, software compatibility, and security settings.
  • Address any issues promptly and document resolutions.

Equipment Cleaning and Maintenance:

  • Regularly clean and maintain hardware components to extend their lifespan.
  • Follow best practices for equipment handling and storage.

Client Interaction:

  • Work closely with clients to understand their specific needs and requirements.
  • Provide excellent customer service and address any technical inquiries or concerns.

Documentation:

  • Maintain detailed documentation of all processes, configurations, and troubleshooting steps.
  • Create user-friendly guides for system setup and maintenance.

Collaboration:

  • Collaborate with other teams, including IT support, to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to process improvements.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate) preferred.
  • Proven experience in system imaging, asset management, or related roles.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Intune or other device management tools.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
