Produce Category Manager

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement operational strategy for the produce category across multiple Distribution Centers in alignment with company goals
• Work with regional teams and sourcing to execute initiatives and grow cases
• Analyze assortment and product penetration, coordinate with vendors to optimize product offering
• Gather local market data and report on new product opportunities and competitors
• Manage quality assurance team to ensure produce quality and integrity
• Facilitate product training and new product introductions with sales staff
• Support sales staff and coordinate customer programs
• Handle major account bids and coordinate customer on-boarding

Qualifications Education/Training:

• Four-year college degree in business or related field, or equivalent experience

Related Experience:

• Minimum 7 years category management experience required, ideally in the food service or food manufacturing industries

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

• Ability to work effectively within a matrix organization and drive organizational transformations
• Strong business acumen, interpersonal skills, and presentation skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
