Job Description
Alexander James Recruiting is currently working with a leading dealer of commercial vehicles looking to recruit a new Vehicle Technician to service a growing fleet of trucks within Farnham. With a competitive salary and a number of other benefits, this is a great opportunity for an experienced engineer interested in a new role or an individual from a similar background looking to get into the industry.
Responsibilities
Diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems in commercial vehicles.
Conducting thorough safety inspections to ensure vehicles meet legal and company standards.
Preparing vehicles for annual MOT tests.
Maintaining accurate records of repairs, maintenance, and parts used.
Interacting with customers, explaining repairs, and providing updates on vehicle status.Requirements
The company prefer an individual with experience within the Commercial Vehicles industry. However, this isn’t essential, they would also be interested in speaking with candidates with a background in plant hire or automotive. It is essential for this role that you have experience in conducting MOTs. In terms of location, you will ideally be based in or around the Farnham area.
