Job Description
Calling all Science teachers looking for a short term contract in January!
This unique opportunity comes from a Secondary school that has been placing focus on staff well-being to become a highly coveted workplace for educators. As you will be covering a maternity position, you will be coming into a team that's well-established, and well-positioned for a teacher to bring their unique qualities to the role! Their state-of-the-art facilities and equipment have recently been renovated to maximise student engagement across the curriculum.
The Role of a Science Teacher:
Teach all 3 Science across KS3 and KS4, including STEM projects
Starting January 2025, Full time - until the end of term 6
Plan outstanding lessons that meet the needs of students of all abilities, supported by the current teacher
Take on the role of Tutor, delivering the PSHE/Values curriculum to your own tutor group
Ensure positivity is at the heart of all interactions, promoting enriching learning environments The Ideal Science Teacher will:
Be confident teaching Science to KS3 & KS4 Level, potentially KS5
Hold a Teaching qualification (with QTS) or equivalent
Meet the learning needs of key identified groups, including HPAs or students with SEND
Be approachable, engaging and nurturing
Have strong behaviour management skills
NQTs/ECTs welcome to apply
