About the Role:We are looking for passionate and dedicated Social Workers to join Childrens Services teams across London. KeyResponsibilities:Assessment and Case Management: Conduct thorough assessments of children and their families, developing and implementing care plans that meet their needs.
Safeguarding: Actively identify and manage risks to protect children from harm, ensuring that safeguarding procedures are followed at all times. Support and Intervention: Provide direct support to children and their families, including crisis intervention, counselling, and advocacy.
Collaboration: Work closely with schools, healthcare professionals, Police and other agencies to coordinate services and provide holistic care.Legal Work: Prepare reports for court proceedings, attend hearings, and work within legal frameworks to ensure the safety and welfare of children.
Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and detailed records, ensuring that all documentation is compliant with legal and organisational standards.
Family Work: Support families in crisis, helping them to build resilience and work towards positive outcomes.
Qualifications and Experience:
Essential:Degree in Social Work or equivalent qualification.Registration with Social Work England. Experience working with children and families in a social care setting.Strong knowledge of child protection, safeguarding policies, and relevant legislation (e.g., Children Act 1989).
Desirable:Post-qualification experience in childrens services.Experience in court work and writing reports for legal proceedings.Skills and Attributes:Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to manage a complex and varied caseload.Empathy, resilience, and the ability to work under pressure.Commitment to promoting the welfare of children and young people.Excellent organisational and time management skills.
