Job Description
About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled Commercial Insolvency Manager to join our team in Leeds. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced insolvency professional to lead complex insolvency cases, manage a dedicated team, and play a key role in the continued growth of our firm. You will be responsible for overseeing a portfolio of insolvency assignments, advising businesses and individuals in financial distress, and implementing innovative solutions to maximise outcomes for creditors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and lead a portfolio of insolvency cases, including liquidations, administrations, CVAs, and bankruptcies.
- Provide strategic advice to distressed businesses and key stakeholders on insolvency processes, restructuring, and recovery options.
- Liaise with creditors, debtors, and third-party professionals to negotiate settlements and maximise recovery.
- Supervise and mentor junior staff, ensuring compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements.
- Prepare and review insolvency documentation, ensuring timely and accurate reporting to stakeholders and regulatory bodies.
- Lead client meetings, presenting findings and guiding decision-making processes.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, creditors, solicitors, and other stakeholders.
- Identify opportunities for new business and contribute to the firm's growth through business development activities.
Key Requirements:
- Strong understanding of UK insolvency law, corporate recovery, and restructuring.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and client management skills.
- Ability to manage a varied and dynamic caseload, prioritising deadlines and ensuring compliance with all regulations.
- Proven experience in managing and mentoring junior team members.
- Business development experience and a commercial approach to work.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
