Mobile Plant Mechanic

TEXO Recruitment have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Maintenance Fitter to join the maintenance team of one of our external clients based in Blyth, Northumberland on a permanent basis.

• Duties and Responsibilities:This is predominantly a day shift position; however, you will be required to work shifts and weekends when necessary.
• Overtime will also be required to cover the needs of the business.
• Due to the nature of the business, you will need to be flexible with a can do attitude.
• You will also be required to assist with the loading/unloading of cargos. Therefore, the successful candidates will be required to learn all aspects of Stevedoring including operating plant & equipment where required.
• Previous experience of working with these types of equipment would be an advantage.
• Essential Skills / Qualifications:This client has an array of cargo handling equipment that includes FLT, Cranes & Heavy Plant; experience of working with these types of equipment both mechanically and electrically would be an advantage.
• Experience working on Diesel Engines (cars, trucks, cranes, FLT's)
• This client is located across four sites, so a full driving license is essential.
• Mechanical NVQ / HNC
• Experience, installing, servicing and repairing mechanical systems and equipment.
