We are delighted to represent our client in offering an opportunity to join their team as a Junior Conveyancer/Conveyancing Assistant within their conveyancing department based in Jarrow. Our client, a Lexcel accredited firm, has a long and successful history of providing quality services to clients. This role is crucial to supporting their residential conveyancing activities, ensuring smooth transactions from start to finish under English/Welsh law.

Your Mission

As a Junior Conveyancer/Conveyancing Assistant, you will undertake a variety of tasks within the residential conveyancing process. Your responsibilities include managing the sale and purchase of residential properties, from opening files through to completion and post-completion work. You will handle multiple tasks, prioritising your workload effectively to ensure timely and efficient service. Experience with managing a small caseload will be advantageous but is not essential. For post-completion work, you should ideally have at least one year of experience in drafting and submitting AP1 forms to the Land Registry, dealing with requisitions, and providing updates to clients and lenders.


Key Competencies

  • Proven understanding/experience in conveyancing, with ideally at least two years of relevant experience.
  • Familiarity with the sale and purchase of residential property, including file management from inception to completion.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritise workloads efficiently.
  • Experience in handling a small caseload is a plus.
  • At least one year of experience in post-completion work, including drafting and submitting AP1 forms, dealing with requisitions, and client and lender communication.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills.


Offer Details

  • Salary: up to£25,000 per year, depending on experience.
  • Location: Based in Jarrow.
  • Work Type: Full-time and part-time positions available. In-office role with a Monday to Friday schedule.
