We are delighted to be recruiting on behalf of a prominent commercial law firm with a strong consultancy arm with offices across the UK including London. Our client provides top-tier legal services to clients across the private, public, and third sectors, both in the UK and internationally. Known for their commitment to excellence, they take a unique approach to delivering comprehensive legal solutions.

They are currently looking for an experienced Senior Procurement Lawyer to join their dynamic Public Law team. This role is ideal for a seasoned professional with a strong background in public procurement law who can provide expert legal advice and help clients navigate complex regulations while developing robust procurement policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide expert legal advice on all aspects of the procurement process, including procurement regulations and best practices.
• Assist in the development and implementation of procurement policies and procedures.
• Draft and review procurement contracts, ensuring compliance with all legal requirements.
• Advise clients on procurement strategies to mitigate risks and enhance compliance.
• Support clients through procurement disputes and, ideally, provide advice in procurement litigation.
• Collaborate with the team to contribute to a positive and supportive working environment, including mentoring junior colleagues.

Candidate Profile:

• Qualified Solicitor (SRA or Law Society Registered) with proven experience in public procurement law.
• Experience in procurement litigation is desirable but not essential.
• Strong analytical skills with excellent communication and organisational abilities.
• A commercial mindset with some exposure to business development and client relationship management.
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment and support junior colleagues.
