Job Description

Senior Medical Advisor – Oncology

Pharma-Partners is currently recruiting for 3x Senior Medical Advisor vacancies for leading large global pharmaceutical company.


With an abundance of late-stage pipeline across different tumour groups – Prostate Cancer, Lung Cancer and Bladder Cancer – our client is looking to hire experienced Medical Affairs professionals in preparation for new drug launches.


Designated to one of three tumour group teams, the Senior Medical Advisor will be heavily involved in the drug approval process, providing medical input into pre-launch and market access activities. The successful candidate will lead medical projects like publications, RWE & data generation, advisory boards, and carry out Final Signatory duties.


This role is suited to candidates looking to advance their Medical Affairs career and work in a highly visible role with exposure to innovative new drug launches. Candidates must hold Final Signatory status.


Responsibilities:

  • Lead medical affairs projects for assigned area (Prostate Cancer, Lung Cancer or Bladder Cancer)
  • Input into the medical affairs strategy and planning
  • Provide medical and scientific expertise to relevant internal and external stakeholders
  • Be an expert in the ABPI code of practice and carry out Final Signatory duties
  • Contribute to local evidence generation plan
  • Effectively collaborate with marketing, brand teams, and other key stakeholders
  • Work closely with Market Access teams and input into HTA submissions
  • Provide medical training across the business
  • Stay up to speed with market trends in Oncology
  • Liaise with MSL team and support with educational meetings and advisory boards
  • Develop and maintain professional relationships with local, regional and national KOL’s


The Candidate:

  • GMC registered Physician OR GPhC registered Pharmacist
  • Candidates must have experience of working in a UK Medical Affairs team
  • ABPI Final Signatory status is required
  • Drug launch experience is desirable
  • Experience in Oncology is highly desirable however not essential
  • Excellent presentation, project management and communication skills
