Electrician

We are seeking a skilled and experienced ASHP Electrician to join one of our market leading companies in Bedford. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the electrical installation and maintenance of Air Source Heat Pump systems. This role requires a strong understanding of electrical systems, safety regulations, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Electrical Installation: Install, wire, and connect Air Source Heat Pump systems according to manufacturer guidelines and industry standards.

• Maintenance & Repairs: Diagnose electrical issues in ASHP systems and perform necessary repairs to ensure optimal operation.

• Safety Compliance: Ensure all work complies with relevant electrical codes, safety standards, and company policies.

• Testing & Inspection: Perform testing, fault finding, and inspection of ASHP systems to guarantee safe and efficient operation.

• Documentation: Maintain accurate records of all installations, maintenance work, and repairs. Complete necessary documentation and reports.

• Client Interaction: Communicate effectively with clients, providing clear explanations of work carried out and offering advice on system operation and maintenance.

• Continuous Learning: Stay updated on the latest industry trends, technologies, and regulations related to ASHP and electrical systems.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Electrical Qualifications: NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or equivalent. 18th Edition Wiring Regulations certification.

• Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience as an electrician, preferably with experience in ASHP or renewable energy systems.

• Driving License: Valid UK driving license is required.

• Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills.

• Certification: ECS/CSCS card is desirable.
