Role: IT Knowledge Management Specialist
Rate: £550 p/d Inside IR35
Location: Southampton HQ - 2 days p/w
Duration: 3 months

Our client, a multinational insurance firm, are looking to hire an IT Knowledge Management Specialist to implement a strategy around how they capture, maintain and share IT knowledge.

Responsibilities Include

• Develop and implement a knowledge management strategy aligned to the business's goals
• Standardise and embed mechanisms for knowledge capture, maintenance, and accessibility
• Oversee and curate technical documentation and IT content within knowledge management systems.
• Evaluate and align knowledge management tools with strategic objectives
• Train and support staff in using knowledge management resources
• Lead the discovery and analysis of IT knowledge to uncover hidden insights
• Facilitate knowledge sharing and promote collaborative work practices
• Monitor, report, and optimize the effectiveness of knowledge resources
• Foster a culture of continuous learning and stay updated on best practices in knowledge management.

Desirable Skills and Experience

• Experience in IT Knowledge Management or a similar role
• Strong understanding of knowledge management principles
• Ability to quickly get up to speed in a new environment and deliver in a transforming environment
• Excellent communication skills
• Experience with AI and machine learning tools for knowledge discovery a bonus
• Ideally, experience in the financial services space or a regulated environment
