Job Description

Minimum requirements for the role: A tertiary qualification is preferred but not essential for the role. Previous experience having worked within a Business Development or Key Accounts Manager role working within the mining industry is essential for the role. The company is also happy to consider Projects Engineer or related person who has worked on the mines and is keen to move into a mining sales role. Must be results driven, passionate with the ability to build and foster strong strategic relationships. Computer literacy is essential with good working knowledge of Microsoft packages. Excellent presentation, communication and interpersonal skills. The successful candidate will be responsible for: Managing and driving key accounts as well as developing new business within the mining minerals industry within South Africa. Monitoring market developments in order to identify and grow market share. Managing, achieving and exceeding sales volumes, value and key performance indicator targets. Identifying sales opportunities and implementing strategies to target these. Developing and continually reviewing sales plans to support customers needs and actively taking market share from competitors. Offering technical support, commissioning and first level troubleshooting when required as well as providing technical support for customers. Evaluating and recommending improvements that would assist the business area management in meeting/exceeding current sales, profitability, and operational goals. Participating in and assisting with the development, approval and communication with regards to new and existing products. Managing forecasting and negotiating prices. Reviewing, implementing and managing the sales strategy as per the business channel. Salary package, including benefits, is highly negotiable depending on experience gained.
