Role Description

As part of the SAP Security Compliance and Trust Office, the Strategic Cloud Certification Team is a cross SAP function dealing with SAP's certification demand along the Cloud Compliance Lifecycle, focused on market and customer dimensions while working within the cloud (compliance) ecosystem in support of our strategic cloud ambitions. The team manages the certification demand from identification in the regions, intake prioritization up to business case-based decision making including sales enablement. We are a global team with strategic certification advisors in all global SAP sales regions. Internal Strategic Associate Consultants in SAP’s Strategic Compliance and Trust Office team play a crucial role in ensuring our company adheres to all relevant laws, regulations, internal policies and industry standards. This position is intended to be developed into a Strategic Certification Advisors role for the sales region “Americas”. Position Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and support SAP Americas marked units by identifying and monitoring the compliance landscape
  • Maintain up-to-date information on new and existing local certifications
  • Ensure certification prioritization in line with certification strategy and drive business decisions by business case development advisory
  • Ensure transparency of implementation
  • Identify and collaborate with required stakeholders (market unit COOs, industry business units, sales functions, governmental affairs, corporate and field legal, secrecy and data protection teams etc.)
  • Participate in compliance expert groups / communities or initiate such expert rounds.
  • Make sure a business cases are created, foster owner identification, support by gathering necessary details around top line, bottom line and risk impact followed by creation of one-pagers. Adhere to the existing Business Case process and make sure appropriate steering is in place. If not, set-up steering and keep the steering meeting series up, until funding and handshake to implementation is clarified.
  • Assist with reporting to Senior Management, as required.

Job Specific Specialized Knowledge & Skills

  • The candidate must have basic understanding of business functions and IT processes, IT processes, systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Salesforce), IT security, IT general controls and emerging technologies including cloud computing, mobile computing, privacy and cybersecurity
  • Technical. You have hands-on practical, technical experience that covers engineering fundamentals and systems architecture. You can talk to engineers, compliance teams, risk teams, and identify technical and process improvements
  • Technical leadership. You have successfully managed large technical migrations of critical systems for your business to affect change across teams over which you did not have direct authority
  • Understand the role of an auditor, the definition of a high-quality audit, and the expectations of all parties involved in an external audit
  • Understand business strategy/objectives and influence business processes to improve alignment
  • Develop data driven strategy to improve audit response and issues management
  • Demonstrate success in working in a team, as well as independently, while driving through to understand the root causes of issues
  • This position requires handling multiple engagements with overlapping deadlines. A demonstrated ability to write clear, coherent and precise reports on a multiplicity of complex technical issues is essential
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with a focus on listening to stakeholder and customer needs are a must
  • Effectively innovate and implement policies, procedures, processes, controls and infrastructure
  • Excellent business and commercial acumen – strong strategic and tactical agility
  • Excellent communications skills, highly developed interpersonal skills and strong ability to work collaboratively across the organization and obtain positive visibility and credibility quickly

Requirements

  • 0-2 years of basic experience with compliance standards
  • Experience gained through college degree programs (e.g. business administration, economics, computer sciences (information security a plus), ICT law) and/or certification in business, technology, or related field
  • Experience in customer facing escalations as intern or working student
  • Exceptional reading comprehension and written communication skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Basic understanding of IT compliance and compliance frameworks incl. control mapping
  • Languages: English (Fluent)

Preferred

  • Experience with certification and industry standards (finance industry standards a plus)
  • Experience facilitating agreement across a wide range of disparate stakeholders
  • Project management skills and experience
  • Experience with Cloud security and compliance best practices
  • Consulting attitude and mind-set

Compensation Range Transparency : SAP believes the value of pay transparency contributes towards an honest and supportive culture and is a significant step toward demonstrating SAP’s commitment to pay equity. SAP provides the annualized compensation range inclusive of base salary and variable incentive target for the career level applicable to the posted role. The targeted combined range for this position is 62300 - 106000(USD) USD. The actual amount to be offered to the successful candidate will be within that range, dependent upon the key aspects of each case which may include education, skills, experience, scope of the role, location, etc. as determined through the selection process. Any SAP variable incentive includes a targeted dollar amount and any actual payout amount is dependent on company and personal performance.
