Join Our Team as a Learning Support Assistant!
Are you an experienced Learning Support Assistant or Teaching Assistant eager to support students with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND)? Axcis Education is looking for a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to work in both mainstream and SEND schools in the Bodmin area, focusing on students with ASD and Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
Position: Learning Support Assistant
Location: Bodmin
Type: Full-Time (Monday to Friday)
Hours: 08:30 AM - 03:30 PM
What You’ll Do:
• Provide 1:1 support and work in small groups or booster sessions.
• Create a friendly and supportive atmosphere for students.
• Stay calm and positive, even in challenging situations.
• Help students with SEND thrive in their educational journey.
Ideal Candidates Will:
• Be approachable and friendly.
• Be supportive and a positive influence on students.
• Have a genuine passion for enabling SEND students to succeed.
Experience and Knowledge in Areas Such As:
• SEMH
• Support Work
• Mental Health Support
• Trauma-informed practices
• Sports Coaching or Teaching
