Job Description

Electrical Design Engineer

This role is for a skilled Electrical Design Engineer to contribute to the conversion solutions of industrial materials handling equipment, used in hazardous environments, requiring your ATEX and Ex knowledge.

As an Electrical Design Engineer, you will have the opportunity to design solutions for electrical systems to be integrated into existing mechanical and electrical vehicles and equipment, ensuring they meet ATEX requirements, using your hands on skills as well as your AutoCAD abilities.

Responsibilities and Tasks:

Produce design & project documentation

Selection of components for integration into original machine electrical systems

Specify test requirements to support compliance

Pre and post customer support

Collaborate with technicians and engineers to find solutions

Qualifications and Experience:

Degree or HND qualified in electrical, electronic or automotive engineering

A minimum of 3 years' similar experience in MOD, Aerospace/Defence, or Marine sectors.

Proficiency in power and electrical design, including system design and component selection.

Familiarity with ATEX, Ex and/or IEC Ex

Proficiency in using AutoCAD electrical
