In the UK we are currently over 300 strong and our plans are to grow to 400-500 by 2025 through the development our UK nuclear service offerings.

We are looking to recruit a Senior IT Manager to add value to our current IT team.

The Senior IT Manager will manage the IT team, create the local IT strategy and set targets and objectives to meet the goals. They will work closely with the Corporate IT Team in France to ensure we company with the wider Framatome IT goals.

The successful candidate will combine a strong customer service attitude with a solid IT background and experience with the ability to manage the day-to-day runnings of IT, which include:

  • Manage different projects of various sizes & have experience with project management methodologies.
  • Have good stakeholder management experience, organisational & multi-tasking skills, including liaising between the heads of functions.
  • Be comfortable and confident with budget management.
  • Define project scope, goals, and deliverables.
  • Document and detail project plans.
  • Local IT support to Avonmouth users. Remote support to HPC and Cranfield.
  • Monitoring and maintaining networks and servers
  • Setting up and managing users needs e.g., PC, printers, badges etc.
  • Managing end users rights on local infrastructure & access control
  • Providing support for switches, servers, Wi-Fi access points, cable patching etc.
  • Resolving local incidents and creating action plans for fixes and continuous improvement
  • Daily Administration of Active Directory and Microsoft Exchange
  • Performing diagnostic tests and debugging procedures to optimize computer systems.
  • Managing site IT components stock (purchase and stock management)
  • Liaising with onboarding team to deliver PC imaging, application unitary deployment, certificates download for new users.
  • Basic desktop support Windows 10 / 11, MS Office suite, Office 365
  • Android / Apple IOS support

  • Have customer facing project delivery experience/skills.
  • Ensure that projects are delivered within the agreed cost and timescales.
  • Carry out other administrative duties on request.
  • Assist and provide daily technical support to end-users via various channels as and when required
  • Stay up to date with the latest industry trends and technologies, making suggestions for improvement and optimisation of IT systems
  • Ensuring data security and compliance is adhered to.
  • In addition to your normal duties, you may occasionally be required to undertake additional work necessary to meet the needs of the business, without additional remuneration.
  • High-level of self-motivation, independence, and self-reliance


To be considered, the following qualifications, skills and experience is required:

  • A Level (or equivalent) in English and Maths
  • Experience in dealing with confidential records is required.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft software
  • Degree qualified or equivalent experience in a relevant discipline, with chartered status preferred.
  • Industry standard PPM certification (e.g. Prince2, APM, etc.).
  • Programme management experience, with significant cost and budget control.
  • Demonstrable evidence of strong leadership principles.
  • Robust in ambiguous situations and tenacious when faced with tough challenges.
  • Strategic thinker, but also actively engaged in driving tactical responses within the changing business environment.
  • Good communicator capable of listening, understanding and seeking out solutions.
  • 5 plus years experience working in IT.

Please note: This role will require travel to other offices and sites in line with business requirements.
