Cover Supervisor
Location: Newcastle
Salary: £95 - £120 per Day
Start Date: ASAP
GSL Education are looking for a dedicated Cover Supervisor to join a supportive school in Newcastle.
As a Cover Supervisor, you will play a vital role in maintaining the continuity of education by stepping in to cover classes in the absence of the regular teacher.
Responsibilities as a Cover Supervisor:
Supervise and manage classes during teacher absences.
Ensure students remain on task and maintain a positive learning environment.
Deliver pre-set work provided by the absent teacher.
Support students with their learning, answering any questions related to the lesson.
Report any issues or concerns to the school leadership team.
To be a successful Cover Supervisor, you need:
Previous experience working with young people, ideally in a school setting.
Strong classroom management skills and confidence in supervising groups of students.
Ability to deliver lesson plans and keep students engaged in their learning.
Excellent communication skills and a positive attitude.
A genuine interest in working as a Cover Supervisor and helping students succeed.
A valid Enhanced DBS registered on the update service (or be willing to obtain one).
