Job Title: Compliance Manager (Energy)

Location: Hybrid Basingstoke/Remote

Reports to: Senior Compliance Manager

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in developing and implementing compliance policies and procedures.
• Conduct regular compliance reviews and internal audits to ensure adherence to regulations.
• Coordinate regulatory submissions. Ensure their completeness, correctness, and timely submission.
• Prepare comprehensive compliance reports for senior management.
• Coordinate with various departments to ensure seamless compliance integration across the organisation.
• Handle day-to-day compliance queries and issues, providing timely and effective resolutions.
• Monitor and track regulatory changes and assess their implications for the business.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date compliance records and databases.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Proven experience in a compliance or policy role, preferably with an energy supplier or with Ofgem.
• In-depth knowledge of energy sector policies and regulations.
• Familiarity with environmental schemes, such as the Renewables Obligation and Feed-in Tariff, would be beneficial.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Business Analyst experience would be advantageous.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively coordinate across departments.
• Ability to stay updated with regulatory changes and adapt compliance strategies accordingly.
• Proficiency in maintaining compliance records and databases.
