SEND Funding Lead

1 year interim contract starting ASAP

Day rate £550/day

Inside IR35 (via umbrella)

Southwest based local authority – onsite required 2 days/week

Reporting to the Director: Education and Skills. Working alongside the Head of Capital Projects/Capital Programme Manager.


Your Role as a SEND Funding Lead:

  • As part of the Safety Valve Programme, you will review and improve the LA’s SEND financial processes
  • Formalise new funding model
  • Develop SEND sufficiency plan
  • Ensure student placements in new provision are efficient
  • Project manage school place delivery


Your previous experience as a SEND Funding Lead:

  • Up-to-date with national legislation and SEND statutory responsibilities
  • Significant capital programme experience
  • Senior leadership experience within a local authority setting
  • Must have led changes to SEND financial systems
  • Excellent analytical skills
