Job Title: Production Manager Salary: R35,000 R40,000 per month (Cost to Company) Location: Centurion Employment Type: Permanent The Purpose of the Position The Production Manager will focus on the printing and lamination divisions, identifying and resolving technical issues, reducing waste, and optimizing production efficiency. This role involves hands-on management of the production process, daily communication with supervisors, and collaboration with teams to ensure high-quality output and streamlined operations. Responsibilities Oversee the printing and lamination divisions to resolve technical issues and reduce waste Train staff and reduce start-up and running waste in production Manage daily production activities, including job cards and production plans Oversee production teams, including training, coaching, and performance management Ensure ink technicians follow procedures and complete blend sheets Monitor production parameters such as waste, overtime, and resource allocation Collaborate with quality and maintenance teams to troubleshoot and resolve factory issues Ensure that all production meets quality standards, and paperwork is completed correctly Implement cost-saving initiatives and conduct periodic quality inspections Lead daily production meetings and ensure communication between shifts is effective Requirements Qualifications in Production or Manufacturing Management Proven experience with LDPE, BOPP, and other flexible packaging materials Familiarity with Flexographic and/or Gravure printing machinery Experience with lamination processes in a printing or packaging environment Strong knowledge of production management in a packaging or printing setting Ability to implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) Excellent communication, decision-making, and problem-solving skills Ability to manage and coach teams effectively Our client is an equal opportunity employer.
