Head of Enterprise Architecture

Responsibilities: Team Management : Provide visionary leadership and foster a collaborative, innovative culture. Engage with executives and leaders to develop better enterprise frameworks. Mentor and coach solution architects, promoting professional growth. Allocate resources efficiently and manage team performance. Collaborate with HR for recruitment and conflict resolution. Facilitate knowledge-sharing and continuous learning within the team. Strategy Formation and Implementation: Develop and refine the EA strategy aligned with business objectives. Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies. Create detailed implementation plans and ensure alignment with strategic goals. Establish metrics and KPIs to measure the effectiveness of EA initiatives. Enterprise Application Portfolio: Develop a strategy model for the enterprise application portfolio. Ensure the application portfolio evolves and remains viable. Provide standards, guidelines, and frameworks for application development. Optimize application solutions and work with SMEs. Enterprise Architect Support: Define standard application development frameworks. Recognize and leverage potential reuse within the organization. Design and manage application components and their interactions. Review and maintain the organizations IT architecture and transition plans. Customer Centricity: Maintain professional relationships with business partners and customers. Ensure consistent service processes and issue resolution. Drive customer-centric practices throughout the organization. Work Collaboratively: Build a culture of respect and cooperation across teams. Facilitate collaboration with external stakeholders. Communicate effectively at all levels. Budgeting, Policies, and Procedures Development : Develop and manage the EA budget in collaboration with finance executives. Ensure efficient resource use and adherence to financial guidelines. Develop and update policies and procedures to align with industry best practices. Education: Matric Bachelors degree in Computer Science or Information Systems. TOGAF certification. Experience: 8 years as an Enterprise Architect. 10 years in a Solution Architect role. Knowledge of IT governance frameworks (COBIT, ITIL, TOGAF, SDLC, ASAP, SOA). Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook). Knowledge of Atlassian and Jira (advantageous).
