Job Title: General Cleaner Job Description We are currently seeking a General Cleaner to join our team in the retail and wholesale industry. This is a permanent position with full-time hours expected. Job Duties: Perform general cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming. Clean and sanitise restrooms and replenish supplies. Empty trash receptacles and ensure proper disposal of waste. Monitor and maintain cleanliness of common areas. Follow health and safety guidelines to ensure a clean and safe environment. Required Qualifications: Previous experience in cleaning or janitorial role. Ability to work independently and efficiently. Attention to detail and thoroughness in cleaning tasks. Education: No specific educational requirements are necessary, but a high school diploma or equivalent is preferred. Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in a cleaning or janitorial role. Knowledge and Skills: Knowledge of cleaning techniques and cleaning products. Good communication skills and ability to follow instructions. Physical stamina and ability to lift and move heavy objects. Preferred Qualifications: Certification in cleaning or janitorial services. Experience working in a retail or commercial environment. Working Conditions: The role involves working in a retail or wholesale setting, requiring standing, bending, and lifting throughout the shift. Cleaning tasks may involve exposure to cleaning chemicals. The ability to work flexible hours and weekends may be required.
