The Software Development Manager,will be responsible for the strategy and execution of full stack web development and operations at GCC. The ideal candidate will have experience leading digital initiatives in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, with a proven track record of demonstrating exceptional results through best practices and working in a high-performing team.

What youll do:


As a Software Development Manager of a full-stack development team focusing on Web Services you will:



  • Demonstrate technical leadership with hands on accountability for the end-to-end delivery of web solutions from technical design through development, automated testing, deployment, and ongoing maintenance/operations.

  • Create, review, and suggest improvements to requirements, solution designs and code reviews.

  • Help mentor, coach, and develop the Web development team responsible for Web, API infrastructure, and Cloud services using technologies such as C#, .Net Core Docker, Redis and others.

  • Deploy to the cloud using Azure.

  • Continuously rethink and push the status quo, even when it challenges your/our established ideas.

  • Balance calculated risks, tradeoffs, and consequences in prioritizing and optimizing for sustainable time to value and high-quality engineering.

  • Provide ongoing support to internal customers and technical teams.

  • Partner with our process leaders to maintain and continuously improve agile delivery and engineering practices.

  • Focus on learning, applying, and extending best-in-class industry practices to continue to raise the bar on skills development.


Requirements:



  • 7-10 years of experience in development of which 3 5 years has been as a hands-on leader of a team.

  • Experience in designing and creating code for a customer facing application and web services (SaaS or public web) in C# or Java.

  • Ability to architect scalable, performant, secure, and reusable(code) solutions.

  • Experience in leading, coaching, and mentoring developers; providing constructive feedback to help others improve.

  • Capability to communicate and collaborate across the wider organization, influencing decisions with and without direct authority and always with inclusive, adaptable and persuasive communication.

  • Being a passionate and engaged collaborator and communicator with the ability to influence partners and peers at different levels.

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, related discipline, or equivalent experience

  • Agile/Scrum experience

  • Azure or other cloud platforms.

  • Strong in Object Oriented Programming, SOLID principles, Design Patterns

  • Should display a high degree of adaptability to learn new technologies as needed and successfully manage the daily challenges of a technical environment.

  • Confident in best practices, to help the team increase the quality of the code.

  • Proven success working in a fast-paced environment and within various sized organizations.
