Pump Field Service Technician

Job Description

Location: Northeast (NY, NJ, RI, PA) and Gulf Coast (LA, MS, AL)
Compensation: $30.00 per hour - $40.00 per hour (DOE)
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and assist in troubleshooting, installation, assembly, or disassembly of pumps and seals, ensuring top-notch service quality.
* Travel Globally to various job sites as dispatched by the Field Service Manager, offering a chance to explore and work in different environments.
* Manage Documentation by completing and forwarding all necessary paperwork for jobs to the corporate office, ensuring smooth operations.
* Identify Sales Opportunities by informing the closest Service Center of potential sales activities while on site.
* Promote a Safe and Efficient Work Environment by supporting, cooperating with, and participating in our company-wide LEAN and EHS Management System.
* Additional Duties as assigned, providing a diverse work experience.
Qualifications:
* High School Diploma or equivalent.
* 5 years of experience in a pump factory or Service Center, with skills in different work processes of pump manufacturing, assembly, or testing. Completion of the Sulzer Apprenticeship Program meets these requirements.
* Excellent written, verbal, negotiation, and listening skills.
* Strong ability to utilize technical knowledge and analytical skills to resolve problems and customer complaints.
* Excellent interpersonal skills.
* Proficiency in the latest Microsoft software. Experience with SAP and Gelco expense reporting is a plus.
