Position Overview:

We are looking for an experienced and results-driven Commercial Manager to join our client’s dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong commercial acumen, with a proven track record in the construction or manufacturing industries. This role will involve overseeing all commercial aspects of the business, from managing client relationships and contracts to driving profitability and growth.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Contract Management: Negotiate, review, and manage contracts with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors to ensure favourable terms and compliance with legal and commercial standards.
  • Financial Oversight: Monitor project budgets, control costs, and ensure financial targets are met. Work closely with the finance team to forecast revenues, manage cash flow, and assess financial risks.
  • Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and identifying opportunities for upselling and cross-selling.
  • Bid Management: Lead the preparation and submission of bids and tenders, ensuring competitive and profitable proposals that align with the company’s capabilities and strategic goals.
  • Strategic Planning: Contribute to the development of the company’s commercial strategy, identifying market opportunities, and driving business growth.
  • Team Leadership: Manage and mentor a team of commercial professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture. Provide guidance and support to ensure the team meets its objectives.
  • Risk Management: Identify potential commercial risks and develop strategies to mitigate them, ensuring the company’s interests are protected.
  • Market Analysis: Keep abreast of market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments to inform strategic decisions and maintain a competitive edge.


Qualifications & Experience:

  • Proven experience as a Commercial Manager, ideally within the construction, manufacturing, or related industries, with a focus on ceiling or internal products.
  • Excellent negotiation and contract management skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience working on NEC subcontracts
