A dedicated Commercial Finance Analyst is needed to provide key financial insights and contribute to strategic decision-making processes. This role is perfect for a finance professional early in their career who is looking to make a significant impact in a thriving company.

Description
The Commercial Finance Analyst will report to the Head of Finance. The postholder will support the commercial finance function for a specific division, working closely with two Finance Business Partners. Providing reporting, analysis and challenging the management team to drive performance and adherence to processes are key elements of this role. This division consists of six unique business units, thus the ability to adapt to new challenges will be key to success in this role.
Key duties will include:
Month end
Month end processes, such as accruals, prepayments, and revenue recognition.
Support team in delivery of accurate set of accounts for the division, with details explanations of any material variance to forecast.
Data and insight
Business partnering support for a specific business unit.
Analyse financial data to and trends to identify risks and opportunities.
Prepare finance reports and summarises. Production of monthly MI pack
Provide insights and recommendations for strategic business decisions.
Evaluate cost structures and identify cost-saving opportunities.
Control
Conduct variance analysis on expenditure, ensuring budgeted levels are maintained.
Ensure compliance with financial processes across the division.
Analysis of credit card spend, seeking to improve compliance and reduce spending.
Producing reports to ensure robust financial management of large projects.
Continually ensure invoicing is done in a timely manner, driven down the Aged WIP position.
Working closely with credit control and key stakeholders on aged debtors.
Other
Adhoc analysis as required.
Continually seek to improve process and drive efficiency.Profile
A successful Commercial Finance Analyst should have:
A good general knowledge of accounting with a minimum of 3 years' experience in similar role
Part qualified CIMA/ACCA or similar - study support can be offered.
UK driving license.
Competent use of Microsoft office software, advance excel user.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Ability to influence strategic decisions with financial insights
Ability to form strong relations outside of finance team, and manage upwards.
Work well under pressure and have excellent organisational skillsJob Offer
