Your new company
Hays Education are working with a large secondary school in Nottingham who are looking for an experienced Attendance Officer to join their team on a temporary basis, with the potential to go permanent for the right candidate.
Your new role
As an Attendance Officer, you will play a crucial role in promoting excellent attendance and supporting the students' welfare. Your responsibilities will include:
Inputting data and maintaining an accurate and up-to-date attendance record for students
Liaising with students, staff, parents, and external agencies to address any attendance concerns
Being out in the community, conducting home visits and supporting families
What you'll need to succeed
Experience working within a school (essential)
Experience using school systems or ability to pick systems up quickly
Ability to have difficult conversations
Meticulous attention to detail
Strong understanding of safeguarding and confidentiality
An enhanced DBS on the update service or be willing to apply for a new one What you'll get in return
